Correction note (27 Sept 2026). Airline attributions across the whole archive were audited against public aircraft registries and the callsigns each aircraft broadcast, and about 2,000 flights were reassigned to their real airline. The noise figures in this report are unaffected; only the airline rankings (and the airline table in the PDF) were computed before the fix. For example, TAP Air Portugal's count also included Azores Airlines flights, whose code was missing. In particular, "Austrian Airlines" on this month's quietest-airlines podium was in fact Swiss-registered aircraft (mostly easyJet Switzerland): no real Austrian Airlines flight was ever recorded.
