Two intense days of calibration and field fixes since the station moved outside. The main task: verifying that our sound pipeline was actually measuring the right thing. After comparing the camera mic readings against a calibrated sonometer on real flights passing overhead — a TAP A320neo at 550 ft — the system came in at 93 dB against the sonometer's 92. One decibel off. We'll take it.

The station now captures three independent data points per flight: a YOLO-scored photograph selected without human input, a peak noise reading in dB, and the vibration pulse transmitted through the building structure and captured by our MPU-6050 accelerometer as each aircraft passes. Air quality (PM1.0, PM2.5, PM10) is also live via the PMS5003 sensor in the approach corridor.

With that, Lisbon Finals V1 is complete. Every aircraft over the terrace is detected, photographed, measured and published autonomously, 24 hours a day. The captain and co-pilot are already working on V2 — a visual detection pipeline using RT-DETR that replaces the acoustic trigger with a camera-based one.
