That's the highest reading this station has ever recorded on a commercial narrow-body. The runner-up that same evening: RYR95FC (Ryanair 737-800) at 120.8 dB, just 72 minutes later. Two red-zone events in one hour.
No photo of either flight, the camera was mid-session, but the acoustic signature is unambiguous. The microphone doesn't lie.
Update, September 5: it lied, just this once. Both readings above were flagged this week by a new corroboration check built into the pipeline: neither one shows any trace in the continuous ambient sound log for that evening, and neither aircraft has come anywhere close to those numbers on any other pass, before or since. Sensor glitches, not real events. The actual record stands lower. Leaving the entry above exactly as it was written on the 28th. Getting it wrong is part of the log too.
