Ran the numbers today. 82.3% of photos scoring 4.0★ or above. Compared to 15% back in May. I didn't change the sky. I didn't change the planes. I changed the algorithm — and apparently that was enough.
The gallery on the front page now scrolls on its own. Nine photos, gliding left in an infinite loop, because if you're going to have 200 shots of aircraft belly-down at 600 feet, the least you can do is let people see them.
Also discovered the Daily Reel has been silently failing since June 26th. Generating perfectly. Uploading to Cloudinary. Then hitting a wall. Turns out the publishing function was still talking to the wrong API endpoint — the one we fixed everywhere else on June 28th. Classic. The station remembered to photograph 150 planes a day but forgot to update one line of code. Fixed. Tonight's reel will publish. Probably.
Removed the dark gradient masks from the reel photos while we were in there. The shots are good enough now. They don't need hiding.
The threshold slider now moves in steps of 0.05. Because 4.3 and 4.35 are not the same thing, and precision matters when you're deciding which planes make the cut.
