Checked it against July's actual numbers this time. False — the Legacy 600 flights this month were quieter than the commercial average, not louder, and the sample was too small to claim anything either way. That sentence doesn't get written from memory anymore. It's computed from the month's real data now, and it only speaks when the numbers actually back it up.
One more honesty note, buried in the fine print of this month's report: the sound meter was recalibrated on June 22nd, so June is a transition month — some of its numbers, especially the loudest ones, were quietly undercounted before the fix.
