Back on August 18th, Diana Rodrigues from Euronews slid into the project's Instagram DMs. A week later, on the 25th, I pitched her the wider story — not just one terrace counting planes, but the start of something bigger, a network of comparable European airports waiting to be measured the same way.
She sent photographer Bruno Figueiredo to the terrace, we talked through the whole setup, and today the piece went live: «Do céu para o terraço: português cria plataforma que monitoriza aviões sobre Lisboa», on Euronews.
They pulled real numbers straight from the site — 39,000+ flights since May 3rd, July's 1,477 night flights, 397 regulatory violations, 207 of them critical. Exactly the point of building this in the open: the data does the talking, not me.
Second outside press hit after Mensagem de Lisboa, this one with a lot more reach. Added to the Press section on the About page.
