Woke up to zero captures. The Reolink TrackMix had silently pivoted away from the approach path sometime around 21:03 last night — its AI tracking triggered on something (a bird? a reflection?) and the PTZ never found its way back to the preset. No code change, no config drift. Pure hardware drift.
Repositioned the camera, cleaned the enclosure, moved the USB backup key to a more stable port with an extension cable. While we were at it: flushed 450 MB of accumulated RAM from admin_server (restart → 59 MB), set a daily 4am cron to keep it clean, repaired the USB key's FAT filesystem, and deactivated a ghost service (lisbon-vibration) that was crashing on startup because it was never meant to run standalone — the MPU-6050 has always been driven by main.py.
By mid-morning, the first two photos of the day were in. The instrument is back in tune.
